During the 2009-10 school year, I taught English 6. Learners used blogging (Edublogs) as portfolios to show their growth, ideas, and creativity. Learners also created, maintained, and published comic strips using Pixton in order to demonstrate the academic standards.
During the 2010-11 school year, I taught an art/technology elective in which learners explored famous artists like Jacob Lawrence and Gwendolyn Brooks and designed projects based on their work. Learners learned collage, photography, video and audio editing, and blogged about their journeys.
