As the EL coordinator at Wen Hua Elementary school in Miaoli, Taiwan, I oversaw and instructed 1,700 students in grades 1-5 using HQSI/SIOP principles. I was also charged with demonstrating teaching techniques from the United States to Taiwanese teachers and I created of English themes and projects to be used as templates for future school years. In addition, I was the instructor of the SEEDS class, an advanced English learners group, which competed nationally for prizes and awards.
